Is Famotidine Ever Indicated? An Update on Acid Suppression

Famotidine is a commonly prescribed acid suppressant for the treatment of gastrointestinal ulceration and erosion (GUE) and non-ulcerative conditions such as poor appetite and vomiting. However, there a variety of newer acid suppressant drugs available that are largely supplanting the use of famotidine. In this 50 minute seminar, the presenter will review indications for the use of famotidine and discuss published and ongoing research that will help guide how to make famotidine a more effective drug.
